Five Years of DEXET
Five years ago, DEXET launched with a simple but powerful belief: that the speed, precision and problem-solving mindset forged in Formula One could solve complex challenges far beyond the racetrack. Today, that belief has evolved into a team that’s helped shape everything from Le Mans hypercars to micro-EVs, medical devices to next-gen supercars.
Founded by two old friends with deep experience in Formula One, DEXET was created to take on the kinds of projects that require both technical excellence and creative engineering. That combination has become the team’s trademark.
In motorsport, we have quietly supported some of the most competitive F1 and Formula E teams on the grid, designing and refining critical composite components where failure isn’t an option. In endurance racing, we’ve contributed to Le Mans chassis projects that survive 24 hours of pure mechanical punishment. And in road car development, we have partnered with clients like GTO Engineering to deliver ultra-lightweight structural parts, with an obsessive focus on material performance and manufacturability.
We are also leading structural design programmes for a number of low-volume hypercar manufacturers - helping shape the core architecture of some of the most exciting vehicles currently in development. Much of this work sits within high-value programmes and R&D environments, where we focus on developing innovative, high-performing composite structures that balance stiffness, weight and manufacturability in ways that push the limits of what’s possible.
But what makes DEXET stand out isn’t just the calibre of the work. It’s the way we apply that Formula One mindset to sectors that wouldn’t usually have access to this level of engineering. Urban mobility concepts like Zigy, the single-seat electric city car made from thermoplastic and recycled carbon composites, weren’t designed for a racetrack - but the thinking behind them came straight from it. So did our work on industrial tooling, medical support systems, and lightweight components for low-volume manufacturing.
The thread that runs through all of it? Fast thinking. Precise design. No wasted material. Every decision made because it makes something better - lighter, faster, stronger, or smarter.
To mark five years in business, we recently brought our team together at our Woking studio. This created a fantastic opportunity to celebrate what’s been built so far, share the stories behind the work, and look ahead at what’s coming next. It was a night to thank the small team behind big ideas - and to pause and reflect, before the next sprint.
“After five years in business, it feels like the right moment to pause and reflect on what we've achieved so far. We've had the privilege of working on cutting-edge programmes across motorsport, automotive, aerospace, medical and urban mobility. These exciting challenges have allowed us to attract phenomenal engineers - people with deep passion for their craft and a shared ambition to grow alongside the company.
I’m incredibly proud of our team and how each person is continuing to evolve and mature in their role.
As for the present: we’re honoured to be working at the very pinnacle of racing, while also partnering with some of the most demanding and high-performing brands in the automotive sector.
Looking ahead, my hope is simple - that we continue to grow as we have, cementing the ‘DEXET way’ of doing things while collaborating with ambitious clients in the pursuit of innovation at the highest levels of engineering.” - Francesco Aglietti, DEXET Technologies CEO
“Reaching the five-year milestone is a proud moment for us—not just in terms of growth, but in how we’ve built a financially resilient and strategically agile business. From day one, our focus has been on creating a solid foundation that allows us to invest boldly in talent, technology, and long-term partnerships. That stability has been key to navigating the challenges that come with high-performance engineering and rapid innovation.
As we celebrate this anniversary, I’m grateful for the trust our clients place in us, and for the dedication of our team who continue to push boundaries without compromising on quality or integrity. Looking forward, our ambition remains clear: to scale with purpose, sustain our culture of excellence, and continue backing the visionary engineering that defines DEXET—with a particular focus on expanding our presence across Europe and North America.” - Leone Benetton, DEXET Technologies CFO
As we move into our sixth year, our mission remains the same: to bring the sharp, adaptive, collaborative mindset of Formula One to every challenge we take on. But we’re also looking ahead - not just at the technologies we’re working on today, but at the engineers who will shape what comes next. That’s why we’re proud to sponsor Formula Student programmes and collaborate with leading academic institutions, including Imperial College London, Georgia Tech, and Cranfield University. Investing in future engineering talent is core to how we think about long-term impact.
DEXET remains committed to the idea that high-performance engineering has a place in every industry, and we’re just getting started.
